The Harcourts Nelson Top of the South Rural team is passionate about matching people with their perfect property - lifestyle, dairy, forestry, viticulture, you name it, they'll find it. With the days of being everything to everyone well and truly over, the team was formed to meet the demand for rural property specialists. They cover a diverse landscape, including Golden Bay, and work closely with the Harcourts Marlborough team to ensure no stone goes unturned. With a sound local knowledge of the area, the Harcourts Top of the South Rural team are the men for the job when it comes to rural property.
For Toby Randall, a career in Rural real estate was a no brainer.
With a real love for the country, Toby has a connection with the people he works with and an understanding of their lifestyle and needs, which enables him to match the right people up with your property. With a patch spanning from Tasman across to Marlborough, Toby has a real passion for the diverse landscape and what it offers his clients, from sheep and beef farms, through to vineyards, kiwifruit and hops, not to forget some of the best lifestyle properties in New Zealand. A keen Hunter, Toby spends much of his spare time out and about exploring the region, whether it’s doing a five-day hunting trip, or a day on the water looking for a king fish. With Toby's little remaining spare time he is renovating his villa, enjoying seeing his hard work pay off. He enjoys a good laugh and a bit of fun, but when it’s time to get serious and get the job done, it’s a “boots on, switch on” attitude. Although Toby does not love new technology, having advanced ability to use social media and new technology is proving to be a clear advantage, leading to multiple sales. Although Toby is very skilled with Technology, he is still very old school in his way of thinking and true to his word, if he tells you he will be somewhere, he will, and if he says he will call you, he will. While many real estate agents have been in the game for a long time and rely on their reputation, Toby is working tirelessly to establish his reputation as a rural – lifestyle specialist, and wants you to be a part of the journey.
His results speak for themselves!
"We found Toby to be professional, friendly and easy to work with, and were very happy with our final result."
"He Marketed the property effectively, and creatively."
“He made the process really comfortable & stress-free, and was completely honest and open with us both.”
After growing up and working in outback Australia, specialising in rural property was a no-brainer for our resident expert John Hollis.
John joined the Harcourts Nelson team with a proven background in real estate, tourism and marketing and an affinity with the industries and people of rural communities.
He met his Kiwi wife in Australia and worked in the small outback town of Gunpowder. After taking one look at the South Island decided there was no place he’d rather be. Known as a Kiwi with an Aussie accent, John has even switched allegiance to his national rugby team, and is a firm supporter
of the All Blacks.
He and his family made the move to Nelson in 1999 - the keen sailor and angler was attracted by the bay and all the fishing, boating and lifestyle opportunities. Unlike many real estate consultants, John decided to specialise in rural property, enjoying the straight-forward approach of country folk and making it his business to understand their lifestyles and the unique demands of their vocations.
As a rural specialist, he makes it his business to keep up-to-date with all the latest issues and opportunities, to ensure he has a complete understanding of what makes rural Tasman, Nelson and Marlborough tick.
So if you’re looking to buy or sell in the top of the south - whether it be pip or stone fruit, hops, beef, lamb, vineyards, dairy or just looking for a sea change
- give John Hollis a call.
